I live in Central Louisiana. My childhood was molded by wholesome country living, the best food in America, and the challenges that come with living in a rural area.
Despite my roots in the quiet country fields and winding bayous of Louisiana, the majority of my family come from Costa Rica. Latin influence on my life, specifically in how I see family ties and my ability to see past cultural lines, has given me a wider picture of the world and my place in it.
Going from living among the sleepy pecan trees of my hometown to Lafayette, the happiest place on Earth as they claim, for college further expanded my views and gave me new perspective as well as the skills to thrive in the professional world as I have.
